I have been in the very fortunate position to have experienced so of the work of the RAF first hand, whilst working on various articles / publications etc. This collection is simply a mixture of some of my favourite RAF themed images.
Unfortunately unfavourable wind direction and low cloud prevented a launch on the Friday morning this year, but a number of balloons were still inflated for the gathered crowds.
Each year Stoke Goldings enthusiastic owners, Tim & Helen, host a very popular two day fly in known as the 'Steakout'. Normally attracting a good variety of visitors, 2008 was no exception with visitors ranging from multiple Flexwings through to an immaculate Stearman. Retracting gear Cessnas and Warriors also paid a visit during 2008 proving that 500m of grass is more than adequate to operate from.
The images in this collection were all taken during a half day visit on the Sunday.
